Fallen

My favorite piece of recent projects. It started as a small doodle while being bored in class. From there, it was only to be something to pass time. Adding color upon color just to see the effects. (you can see the layers of pastels if angled) In the end it became what I call Fallen. It's my version of the most courageous and infamous villain in common christian mythology, Lucifer. I felt for such an abstract face, he still appeared sad. An angel with the balls to stand up to God, only to be damned for his courage.

I'm by no means religious, nor to favor one side over another. I just see characters, and respect them all equally to the degree they deserve.
